Key Takeaways From This Episode
“We know if someone’s not being real.”
“There’s a lot we can do with just trusting our instincts.”
Julia started a business venture with someone. She put all of her business into this joint venture and her partner did not. The majority of the business revenue was coming from Julia’s business, yet she was giving up 50% of that revenue. They did not have detailed written agreement or a clear idea of what each was expecting to gain from the venture.
Julia strongly suggest ensuring you always have a very clear written agreement, even when going into business with someone you know. Be very clear about what you are getting into and what you both want out of it.
Julia decided to move to a new country last year. She set a goal to make a certain amount of money before the move. She set her sights high and gave herself a very ambitious deadline and she achieved that goal. She created what she waned to create. She made a conscious, creative decision and made it happen.

“One big problem I’ve noticed many female solopreneurs struggle with is they get caught up in overwhelm and lose focus, so they fail to see opportunities right in front of them. They’re often so busy setting up all the background and doing marketing that they’re “supposed” to be doing, they miss the chances to serve and profit that are just there waiting for them. (This is true whether a person is already in business or just starting out.)
